Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) finished 3-6 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Genner lost 7-1 to Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI), droppimg another game, 10-2 to Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Genner lost 7-2 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR). Genner lost 6-4 to Joel Retornaz (Cembra, ITA). Genner lost 10-2 to Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Genner lost 7-6 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad , SWE) where Genner responded with a 9-8 win over Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Genner won 7-2 against Rob Retchless (Preston , ENG), then won 8-6 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.

Genner earned 10.688 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Genner did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Genner ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
