Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) won 6-4 over Takumi Maeda (Tokoro, JPN) in the Final of the Saville Grand Prix, held November 1 - 3 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Dropkin won 6-5 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-6 over Evan Van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Dropkin finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin lost 5-4 to James Ballance (Okotoks/Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 7-2 win over Andrew Dunbar (Edmonton, AB). Dropkin won 7-2 against Van Amsterdam. Dropkin went on to lose 7-6 against Maeda in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Saville Grand Prix Championship title, Dropkin earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 14 of the event schedule, Dropkin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dropkin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
