Edin went on to lose 5-4 against Scott Howard (Navan, ON). Edin responded with a 8-6 win over James Ballance (Okotoks/Edmonton, AB). Edin won 5-4 against Howard, then won 5-3 against Pierce and 6-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
Edin earned 29.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Astec Safety Challenge. Edin move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 26 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 11th overall with 231.563 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
