Jacobs finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Niklas Edin (Karlstad , SWE) 7-1, then won 5-4 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) and 10-5 against James Craik (Stirling, SCO). Jacobs won 6-4 against Joel Retornaz (Cembra, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the KIOTI National, Jacobs take home 55.000 world rankings points along with the $32,000CDN prize, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 38.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Jacobs ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 177.000 points earned so far this season.
