Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) run at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-2 loss to Xiao Ming Xu (BEI JING, CHN). of the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; Abe advanced through the quarterfinals with a 9-2 win over Glenn Venance (Penticton, BC).

Abe finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Abe defeated TJ Perepolkin (Vernon, BC) 6-4, then won 6-4 against Cameron de Jong (Victoria, BC) and 8-3 against Xu in their final qualifying round match.

Abe earned 10.625 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic. For week 10 of the event schedule, Abe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Abe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
