Kouhei Sato (Tohoku, JPN) won 8-6 over Kotaro Noguchi (Sendai-shi, JPN) in the Final of the Tohoku Curling Championships, held December 8 - 12, 2023 in Tohoku, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Sato won 8-4 over Yuun Ishimura (Aomori, JPN) in the semifinals
 
Sato finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sato lost 8-5 to Chikara Segawa (Morioka, JPN), then responded with a 9-3 win over Eiji Takahashi (Tohoku, JPN). Sato won 6-5 against Yuki Asanuma (Morioka, JPN), then won 11-1 against Sho Fujimoto (Tohoku, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tohoku Curling Championships Championship title, Sato earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 21 of the event schedule, Sato did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sato ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
