To advance to the championship game, Olafson won 7-1 over Raphael Malo (Morris, MB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Heather MJCT Bonspiel in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;

Olafson finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Olafson defeated Kieran Callewaert (Winnipeg, MB) 8-4, then went on to lose 8-2 against Zach Norris (Morris, MB). Olafson responded with a 6-2 win over Evan Boutet (Winnipeg, MB). Olafson won 9-3 against Cade Friesen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Olafson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
