To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 8-5 over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg , MB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Insitu Players Open in Dundas, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-5 over Eun ji Gim (Uijeongbu, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Insitu Players Open in Dundas, Ontario, Canada;
Hasselborg finished 4-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) 6-3, then won 9-1 against Hailey Armstrong (Ottawa, ON). Hasselborg went on to lose 6-3 against Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN). Hasselborg responded with a 8-2 win over Shelley Hardy (Sarnia, ON). Hasselborg won 6-3 against Wrana in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Insitu Players Open Championship title, Hasselborg earned 52.500 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN first prize cheque. Hasselborg move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 50.25 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 303.125 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Hasselborg ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 117.500 points earned so far this season.
