Miranda Scheel (Eau Claire, WI) won 10-9 over Julia Pekowitz (Natick, MA) in the Final of the USA Curling Junior National Championship, held April 3 - 8, 2023 in Wayland, Massachusetts.
 
Scheel finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheel defeated Sophia Ryhorchuk (St. Paul, MN) 8-4, then won 10-4 against Claire Viau (Portage, WI) and 11-6 against Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN). Scheel won 5-3 against Kenna Ponzio (Lakeville, MN), then won 9-3 against Pekowitz and 8-4 against Bella Hagenbuch (North Utica, IL). Scheel won 8-2 against Gracia Berg (Bemidji, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the USA Curling Junior National Championship Championship title, Scheel earned 11.250 world rankings points. For week 36 of the event schedule, Scheel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scheel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
