To advance to the championship game, Sturmay won 7-3 over Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-3 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Sturmay finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay lost 6-1 to Clancy Grandy (Vancouver, BC), then responded with a 6-5 win over Minseo Kim (Jeonbuk, KOR). Sturmay won 7-2 against Michelle Hartwell (Sherwood Park, AB), then won 5-3 against Hunkin in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Saville Grand Prix Championship title, Sturmay earned 33.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. Sturmay move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 27.75 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 33rd overall with 117.071 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Sturmay ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 67.500 points earned so far this season.
