Totzek went on to lose 8-6 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Totzek lost 7-2 to Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) where Totzek responded with a 9-6 win over Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Totzek went on to lose 11-8 against Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL). Totzek lost 5-3 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR). Totzek lost 9-4 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) where Totzek responded with a 7-4 win over ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Totzek went on to lose 12-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Totzek responded with a 8-5 win over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Totzek earned 16.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 36 of the event schedule, Totzek did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Totzek ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
