Dunstone finished 8-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Kelly Knapp (Regina, SK) 9-3, then won 14-2 against Jake Higgs (Iqaluit, NU) and 10-4 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Dunstone won 8-4 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS), then won 8-4 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) and 13-3 against Nathan Young (St. John's, NL). Dunstone won 9-5 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then won 9-2 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Brier, Dunstone take home 52.250 world rankings points.
