Peterson finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Madison Bear (Chaska, MN) 9-8, then won 9-3 against Kim Rhyme (St. Paul, MN) and 10-7 against Rachel Workin (Fargo, ND). Peterson won 8-3 against Sarah Anderson (Chaska, MN), then won 9-5 against Strouse and 9-5 against Miranda Scheel (Eau Claire, WI). Peterson won 10-5 against Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the USA Curling National Championships Championship title, Peterson earned 37.500 world rankings points. Peterson move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 33.75 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 11th overall with 194.894 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
