Makovnikova1-4 at 2022 World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event

Slavka Makovnikova (Bratislava, SVK) finished 1-4 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Makovnikova lost 6-3 to Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG), then responded with a 12-1 win over Petra Bestak (Zagreb, CRO). Makovnikova went on to lose 7-5 against Anastasia Kotova (Kyiv, UKR). Makovnikova lost 10-2 to Oihane Otaegi (San Sebastian, ESP). Makovnikova lost 9-5 to Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) in their final qualifying round match.

Makovnikova earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Makovnikova did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Makovnikova ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
