Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS) won 7-5 over Mike Kennedy (Fredericton, NB) in the Final of the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, held November 24 - 27, 2022 at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Thompson won 7-6 over Jason Roach (Saint John, NB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 6-3 over Tommy Sullivan (Saint John, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada;
 
Thompson finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Adam MacDonald (Woodstock, NB) 9-1, then won 8-2 against Luke Robichaud (Fredericton, NB) and 7-1 against Mike Flannery (Fredericton, NB). Thompson won 7-4 against Kennedy in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic Championship title, Thompson earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 17 of the event schedule, Thompson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thompson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
