Deb Santos (Edmonton, AB) finished 2-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Santos lost 7-0 to Rebecca Morrison (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 10-3 win over Lisa Parent (Calgary, AB). Santos won 7-4 against Adele Purcell (St Albert, AB). Santos went on to lose 8-2 against Morrison in their final qualifying round match.

Santos earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 12 of the event schedule, Santos did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Santos ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
