Jean-Michel Menard (Levis, QC) lost 4-3 to Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Menard won 5-3 over Zackary Wise (Montreal, QC) in the semifinals of the Invitation Valleyfield in , Quebec; and won 10-3 over Frederic Lawton (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals.

Menard finished 2-1 in the 18 team Invitation Valleyfield qualifying round, held September 29 - October 2 at the Valleyfield Curling Club in , Quebec. In their opening game, Menard defeated Stephane Michaud (Trois-Rivieres, QC) 7-6, then won 5-3 against Raphael Patry (Saguenay , QC). Menard went on to lose 7-5 against Alexandre Leduc (Valleyfield, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Invitation Valleyfield, Menard take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,900CDN prize. For week 9 of the event schedule, Menard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Menard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
