To advance to the championship game, Kitazawa won 7-0 over Katelyn Wasylkiw (Whitby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-5 over Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada;
 
Kitazawa finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitazawa defeated Meaghan Mallett (Toronto, ON) 7-0, then went on to lose 7-1 against Tabata. Kitazawa responded with a 6-3 win over Susan Froud (Alliston, ON). Kitazawa won 5-3 against Abby Deschene (Acton, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Kitazawa earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN first prize cheque. Kitazawa gained 3 points improving upon their best 2 events, though dropped 2 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 24thplace overall with 105.330 total points. Kitazawa ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 56.250 points earned so far this season.
