Nyman finished 2-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nyman lost 6-4 to Logan Ede (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 8-4 win over Dustin Woloschuk (Regina, SK). Nyman won 7-2 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Sask Curling Tour Moose Jaw Championship title, Nyman earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $1,720CDN first prize cheque.
