To advance to the championship game, Kim won 9-6 over Kerri Einarson (Gimli, CAN) in the semifinals of the 2022 BKT Tires & OK Tire World Womens Curling Championship in Prince George, British Columbia;
Kim finished 9-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR) 7-6, then won 7-2 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) and 8-7 against Alzbeta Baudysova (Prague, CZE). Kim won 11-4 against Cory Christensen (Duluth, USA), then won 1-0 against Gina Aitken (Aberdeen, SCO) and 7-4 against Stefania Constantini (Trentino, ITA). Kim went on to lose 8-7 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN). Kim lost 7-3 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Kim lost 8-5 to Tirinzoni where Kim responded with a 8-7 win over Einarson. Kim won 1-0 against Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN), then won 10-2 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) in their final qualifying round match.
