In their opening game, Suzuki lost 7-5 to Sayuri Matsuhashi (Tokyo, JPN), then responded with a 7-2 win over Yukihiko Nakamura (Japan). Suzuki won 5-4 against Misato Yanagisawa (Japan) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Kanto Curling Championships, Suzuki take home 4.538 world rankings points, moving up 182 spots the World Ranking Standings into 172nd place overall with 4.538 total points.
