Kerri Einarson (Gimli, MB) lost 6-5 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Princess Auto Players' Championship, held April 12 - 17, 2022 in Toronto, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Einarson won 8-4 over Tracy Fleury (East St. Paul, MB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Princess Auto Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario; and won 7-3 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Princess Auto Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario;
Einarson finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Einarson defeated Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) 6-2, then won 4-2 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT). Einarson went on to lose 5-4 against Fleury. Einarson responded with a 10-2 win over Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Princess Auto Players' Championship, Einarson take home 66.361 world rankings points along with the $25,000CDN prize. Einarson move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 61.945 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 329.916 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
