Stukalskiy won 8-2 against Aleksandr Burdakov (Moscow, RUS), then won 8-3 against Vadim Raev (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Moscow Classic Championship title, Stukalskiy earned 13.175 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 184 spots the World Ranking Standings into 172nd place overall with 14.623 total points. Stukalskiy ranks 147th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.175 points earned so far this season.
