Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic qualifying round, held October 14 - 18 at the Penticton Curling Club in Penticton, Canada. In their opening game, Matsumura defeated John Epping (Toronto, ON) 7-6, then won 9-1 against Jonathan Beuk (Kingston, ON) and 6-4 against Jason Camm (Navan, ON). Matsumura won 7-1 against Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC). Matsumura went on to lose 9-2 against Sebastien Robillard (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
The berth into the first round of the Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic playoffs earned Matsumura 12.375 world rankings points. For week 12 of the event schedule, Matsumura did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Matsumura ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
