Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) lost 8-6 to Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Curling Men's Championship, held March 16 - 20, 2022 in Harnosand, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Magnusson won 8-6 over Sven Olsson (Falu, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2022 Swedish Curling Men's Championship in Harnosand, Sweden; and won 10-9 over Fredrik Nyman (Solleftea, SWE) in the quarterfinals.

Magnusson finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Magnusson defeated Mats Svedberg (Silverstenen, SWE) 8-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Nicklas Soderberg (Skelleftea, SWE). Magnusson lost 5-4 to Joel Westerberg (Amatorforeningens, SWE) where Magnusson responded with a 8-3 win over Niclas Perem (Goteborgs, SWE). Magnusson won 6-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Curling Men's Championship, Magnusson take home 20.691 world rankings points, moving up 73 spots the World Ranking Standings into 99th place overall with 31.486 total points. Magnusson ranks 99th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 31.486 points earned so far this season.
