In their opening game, Whyte defeated Maggie Wilson (Aberdeen, SCO) 7-2, then won 6-5 against Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO) and 6-2 against Beth Farmer (Kinross, SCO). Whyte went on to lose 6-5 against Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). Whyte responded with a 7-4 win over Mouat. Whyte went on to lose 6-1 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). Whyte responded with a 6-4 win over Craik in their final qualifying round match.
