Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) qualified for the 2020 2.0 Cup playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-1 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI). of the 2020 2.0 Cup in Basel, Switzerland;

Hess finished 3-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hess defeated Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI) 7-2, then won 6-4 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Hess went on to lose 7-6 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Hess lost 9-2 to Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) where Hess responded with a 7-6 win over van Dorp in their final qualifying round match.

Hess ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
