Jan Iseli (Solothun, SUI) finished 4-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Iseli lost 7-4 to Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE), then responded with a 7-4 win over Sergio Vez (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP). Iseli earned 6.793 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 39 spots the World Ranking Standings into 152nd place overall with 16.575 total points. Iseli ranks 112th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.395 points earned so far this season.
