Tao went on to lose 8-5 against Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Alberta Curling Series: Avonair, Tao take home 11.818 world rankings points along with the $1,480CDN prize, moving up 49 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 23.273 total points. Tao ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.695 points earned so far this season.
