Katcher lost 10-3 to Matthew Hall (Waterloo, ON). Katcher lost 8-6 to Nicholas Lemieux (St. Catharines, ON) where Katcher responded with a 9-7 win over Dylan Niepage (Guelph, ON). Katcher won 8-7 against Daniel Bruce (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Katcher earned 2.244 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
