Mathias Braenden (Lillehammer, NOR) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . Braenden won 9-1 against Paul Richardsen (Christiansand, NOR). Braenden went on to lose 5-2 against Grunde Buras (Lillehammer, NOR). Braenden lost 8-3 to Bent Anund Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Braenden earned 2.244 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 33 of the event schedule, Braenden did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Braenden ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
