Ryan Norman (Slave Lake, AB) finished 2-3 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Norman defeated Nathan Molberg (St. Albert, AB) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-1 against Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB). Norman responded with a 9-5 win over Jamie King (Calgary, AB). Norman went on to lose 8-6 against Jacob Libbus (Edmonton, AB). Norman lost 9-6 to Molberg in their final qualifying round match.

Norman earned 1.145 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, Norman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Norman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
