Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong , HKG) finished 3-3 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hung defeated
Poland's Marta Szeliga-Frynia 7-2, then went on to lose 9-6 against Chinese Taipei's Amanda Chou. Hung responded with a 10-3 win over Irena Mancek (Ljubljana, SLO). Hung went on to lose 6-5 against Ieva Rudzite (Riga, LAT). Hung lost 9-8 to Italy's Veronica Zappone where Hung responded with a 8-5 win over Sitora Alliyarova (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hung earned 3.315 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.314 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hung ranks 175th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.314 points earned so far this season.
