Lin went on to lose 9-7 against Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG). Lin lost 10-1 to Yu Han (Beijing, CHN) where Lin responded with a 13-0 win over Lauren Wagner (Melbourne, AUS). Lin went on to lose 14-2 against Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggido, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Lin earned 4.713 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 142 spots the World Ranking Standings into 198th place overall with 4.713 total points. Lin ranks 157th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.713 points earned so far this season.
