Epping won 9-5 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Morris, MB), then won 8-4 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Epping went on to lose 10-3 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Epping responded with a 10-6 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Epping earned 30.075 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.237 after improving upon their best so far this season. Epping ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 445.312 points earned so far this season.
