In their opening game, Hilker defeated Kristen Streifel (Swift Current , SK) 10-7, then went on to lose 8-6 against Sherry Anderson (Saskatoon, SK). Hilker responded with a 9-3 win over Adele Kezama (Sherwood Park, AB). Hilker went on to lose 10-1 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK). Hilker lost 7-3 to Lorraine Schneider (Regina , SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hilker earned 3.943 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 119th place overall with 26.755 total points. Hilker ranks 111th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.188 points earned so far this season.
