In their opening game, Kalk lost 9-8 to Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Adele Kezama (Sherwood Park, AB) where Kalk responded with a 5-4 win over Meini Wang (Changchun, CHN). Kalk went on to lose 7-5 against Kellie Stiksma () in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kalk earned 1.971 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 153rd place overall with 14.612 total points. Kalk ranks 159th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.003 points earned so far this season.
