Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2019 Karuizawa International playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA).

Calvert finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Calvert lost 6-3 to Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Nagano, JPN), then responded with a 9-2 win over Yoshiro Shimizu (Nagano, JPN). Calvert went on to lose 8-5 against Shuster. Calvert responded with a 8-1 win over Keisaku Takada (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Calvert earned 14.415 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Karuizawa International.
