Friesen finished 3-1 in the 20 team Atkins Curling Supplies Classic qualifying round, held October 25 - 28, 2019 at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. In their opening game, Friesen defeated Steen Sigurdson (Gimli, MB) 8-4, then won 8-6 against Korey Dropkin (Chaska, USA). Friesen went on to lose 8-1 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen responded with a 6-4 win over Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
