Yilun Jiang (Beijing, CHN) won 7-2 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Jiang won 4-1 over Jie Mei (Beijing, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2019 Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic in Sapporo, Japan;
Jiang finished 3-1 in the 10 team Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic qualifying round, held August 1 - 4, 2019 at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo, Japan. In their opening game, Jiang defeated Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN) 5-3, then won 8-6 against Vlada Rumiantseva (Moscow, RUS). Jiang went on to lose 8-5 against Fujisawa. Jiang responded with a 7-1 win over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic Championship title, Jiang earned 44.423 world rankings points along with the $12,502CDN first prize cheque, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 18th place overall with 185.131 total points. Jiang ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.423 points earned so far this season.
