In their opening game, van Dorp lost 9-8 to Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG), then responded with a 9-2 win over Ulrik Damm (Hvidovre, DEN). van Dorp won 10-3 against Marcelo Mello (Sao Paolo, BRZ), then won 10-5 against Ian Palangio (Sydney, AUS). van Dorp went on to lose 6-5 against Borys Jasiecki (Sopot, POL). van Dorp responded with a 9-6 win over SooHyuk Kim (Seoul, KOR). van Dorp won 9-2 against Scott Becker (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Men's World Qualification Event, van Dorp take home 9.900 world rankings points. van Dorp move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of -5.622 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 27th overall with 126.620 total points on the World Ranking Standings. van Dorp ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 117.489 points earned so far this season.
