Cory Christensen (Chaska, USA) finished 3-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Christensen defeated Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO) 6-2, then won 6-5 against Min Ji Kim (chuncheon city, KOR). Christensen went on to lose 8-5 against Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN). Christensen lost 3-2 to Jackson. Christensen lost 7-2 to Kim where Christensen responded with a 8-7 win over Koana in their final qualifying round match.

Christensen earned 18.921 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 50th place overall with 85.871 total points. Christensen ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 70.554 points earned so far this season.
