Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) qualified for the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS).

Jones finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Ed Cyr (Fredericton, NB) 7-6, then won 7-5 against Chase Sinnett (Chaska, USA). Jones went on to lose 7-5 against Rick Rowsell (St. John's, NL). Jones responded with a 5-1 win over Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS). Jones went on to lose 7-2 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
