MacKenzie responded with a 7-2 win over Xiu Yue Ma (Beijing, CHN). MacKenzie won 8-3 against Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL). MacKenzie went on to lose 8-2 against Paul Dobson (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
