Sean Geall (Kelowna, BC) won 8-5 over Josh Barry (Vancouver, BC) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Geall won 5-3 over Shingo Usui (Kitami, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2018 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 5-4 over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
Geall finished 3-2 in the 16 team Kamloops Crown of Curling qualifying round, held October 26 - 28, 2018 at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops, Canada. In their opening game, Geall defeated Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC) 6-2, then went on to lose 6-4 against Mark Longworth (Vernon, BC). Geall lost 6-4 to Adam Cseke (Penticton, BC) where Geall responded with a 7-1 win over Wylie Eden (Kelowna, BC). Geall won 3-2 against Cseke in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Kamloops Crown of Curling Championship title, Geall earned 22.582 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 113.309 total points. Geall ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 50.303 points earned so far this season.
