Willsey finished 3-2 in the 16 team Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel qualifying round, held October 11 - 14, 2018 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. In their opening game, Willsey defeated Dave Ellis (Toronto, ON) 9-0, then won 6-5 against Chris Wimmer (). Willsey went on to lose 6-2 against Ian Dickie (). Willsey lost 4-3 to Krell where Willsey responded with a 6-1 win over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
