Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) won 7-5 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Canad Inns Men's Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 7-5 over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in the semifinals. and won 4-2 over Braden Calvert (winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Bottcher went 3-0 in the 24 team triple knockout qualifying round. In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN) 5-3, then won 11-4 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishe, ON) and 9-4 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Morris, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Canad Inns Men's Classic Championship title, Bottcher earned 69.375 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 355.219 total points. Bottcher ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 100.431 points earned so far this season.
