To advance to the championship game, Manuel won 7-3 over Graeme Weagle (Chester, NS) in the semifinals of the 2018 Nova Scotia AMJ Campbell Junior Mens Provincials in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada;
 
Manuel finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Manuel defeated Ethan Young (Halifax, NS) 6-1, then won 8-2 against Stefano Sokolic (Halifax, NS) and 9-4 against Weagle. Manuel went on to lose 6-3 against Ryan Abraham (Halifax, NS). Manuel responded with a 9-1 win over Logan Sweeney (Yarmouth, NS). Manuel won 8-5 against Weagle, then won 6-4 against Abraham in their final qualifying round match.
