Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) won 8-4 over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the New Holland Canadian Junior Mens Championship, held January 13 - 21, 2018 in Shawinigan, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Tardi won 9-8 over JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2018 New Holland Canadian Junior Mens Championship in Shawinigan, Quebec;

Tardi finished 7-3 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi defeated Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) 6-4, then went on to lose 5-2 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Tardi responded with a 12-4 win over Joe Wallingham (Whitehorse, YK). Tardi won 9-7 against Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC), then won 5-3 against Liam Marin (Saint John, NB) and 5-4 against Ryan. Tardi went on to lose 11-5 against Matthew Hall (Kitcher-Waterloo, ON). Tardi lost 9-3 to Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) where Tardi responded with a 5-3 win over Daniel Bruce (Corner Brook, NL). Tardi won 6-5 against Horgan in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the New Holland Canadian Junior Mens Championship Championship title, Tardi earned 27.787 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Tardi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tardi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
