Rob Retchless (Ontario) lost 5-4 to Matthew Hall (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Retchless won 7-5 over Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the semifinals of the 2017 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-2 over Jordan Chandler (Northern Ontario) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada;

Retchless finished 3-1 in the 18 team KW Fall Classic qualifying round, held September 21 - 24, 2017 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. In their opening game, Retchless lost 7-3 to Daryl Shane (Ontario), then responded with a 7-2 win over David Misun (Martin, SVK). Retchless won 7-5 against Hall, then won 6-1 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the KW Fall Classic, Retchless take home 17.680 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN prize. For week 7 of the event schedule, Retchless did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Retchless ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
